I'm a children's book creator living in the animal-filled Northwoods of Wisconsin. I've always enjoyed reading kids' books; after all, you're never too old for a good story.
I have a BA in Creative Writing and an MFA in Children's Book Writing and Illustrating from Hollins University. I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by books every day at my job as a children's book editor.
I enjoy drawing imaginative scenes filled with nature and a touch of magical realism. I'm passionate about stories that encourage exploration through play and spark imagination. I find inspiration in poetry, nature, and untold stories.
When I'm not reading or drawing, you can find me at the library; playing with my dog, Daisy; or at the nearest ice cream shop.
